Barkley Microphones Infinity, Gen 2
The Infinity was inspired by classic vintage ribbon microphones of the past. We married modern design and aesthetics with a warm sound, precise transient response and attention to detail.
The hand-tuned ribbon element and custom Oxford Electrical Products transformer provides a healthy output, even frequency response, high rejection of hum, strong off-axis null, and low noise floor, making it a superbly versatile microphone and well suited to many instruments/genres.
The Infinity is offered in 4 variations: STUDIO, STEREO, LIVE and CHROMA.
STUDIO - the original Infinity microphone with 1,8u foil. Available in single, or matched stereo pairs. Can be built with 1.2u foil upon special request (slight surcharge applies).
STEREO - a blumlein stereo version featuring 1.2u foil for the fastest transient response with the most extended low and high frequency content. 5m (16ft) 5 pin to 2x 3 pin XLR cable as standard with various length options available.
LIVE - a slightly more rugged version with 2.5u foil, more internal baffling, and reduced proximity effect. Available in single, or matched stereo pairs.
CHROMA - any microphone can be built to your preference; custom mesh colours/custom body colours/airbrush art... simply contact us!
